The Air Pollution Control Division will request a rulemaking hearing with the Air Quality Control Commission (AQCC) in February 2026 to update AQCC Regulation 27. Some of these changes will increase transparency to the division's credit trading system and clarify requirements for covered facilities. Industrial decarbonization is the reduction of greenhouse gases from sites like steel mills, meat packing plants, or glass factories.
