APCD Hearings on Emergency Generator Use at Military Installations
APCD Hearings on Emergency Generator Use at Military Installations
The CDPHE Air Pollution Control Division is hosting online public comment hearings on changes related to emergency generators at military installations. The hearing will include an overview of the state law and a discussion on how the law could impact nitrogen oxide emissions from emergency generators at military installations. Nitrogen oxides are air pollutants that contribute to ground-level ozone pollution. The changes would impact military installations statewide, including military installations located in parts of Colorado that do not meet federal health standards for ozone pollution. The rule changes are part of House Bill 22-1372: Emergency Engine Exemption Emission Regulation.
